I am an experienced Antenatal and Postnatal Practitioner trained with NCT (National Childbirth Trust) to degree level.
I am a mum of 4 children and passionate about supporting expectant and new families through their birth and parenting journey.
I have supported over 500 families over the last decade through over 70 Antenatal and Postnatal courses.
I was nominated and achieved runner up in the National NCT Practitioner of the Year awards in 2016, and have since been nominated for another National award for my support for Postnatal Dads.
I am supportive, empathetic, knowledgeable and honoured to be able to invest my time in supporting you and your family in your parenting journey.
I discovered HypnoBirthing when pregnant with my first baby 11 years ago. Hypnobirthing allowed me to stay calm and relaxed during every eventuality and gave me the skills to make informed choices and have the best births for me and my babies – this is something that underpins every course I teach.
After experiencing the truly life changing effects of hypnotherapy and hypnobirthing, I studied for a diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy before gaining experience in working with anxiety and pain management including hypnosis for childbirth. In 2018 I qualified as a HypnoBirthing Practitioner and Childbirth Educator qualification with HypnoBirthing International (the Mongan Method) and have subsequently taught hypnobirthing to many expectant parents all over the UK.As a trained and experienced hypnotherapist, I am able to ensure that you get the maximum benefits from hypnosis and also tailor the course to suit each individual.
Our combined antenatal and hypnobirthing courses are perfect for expectant families who:
Would like to experience positive birth
Are first time parents or parents wanting to experience a more positive experience this time around
Would like to meet other parents and be supported by qualified professionals
May be apprehensive, anxious or fearful of birth
Our courses are not for you if:
You’d like a short, ‘cheap and cheerful’ course. This is an in depth, practical course with lots of tips and techniques that you won’t get elsewhere.
You’re not willing to plan for your birth like you would any other large event in your life.
You don’t want a science, fact based course based on years of practise and experience.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Are birth partners welcome? Yes of course! It’s very much teamwork and partners are encouraged to attend.
What if we miss a session? There will be a recap email after every session with information and peer support for catch up too.
How interactive is it? Very! We both have teaching qualifications and use a variety of teaching styles to engage every individual.
Is there any ongoing peer support? Yes, this is something at the heart of our courses – we have WhatsApp groups, a Facebook group for ongoing support right up until school age so plenty of opportunity to keep in touch and ask questions.

What is hypnobirthing? Is it just a bit of breathing and thinking positively?
In short, no. Hypnobirthing teaches you skills and techniques to remain calm and in control during birth but also the options available to you and so much more. This is a course based on science – there will be no fluffy bits but a whole lot of fact based on research and many years of evidence. There is an element of breathing practice and positive thinking but so much more besides.
Will I be hypnotised?
Whilst hypnosis is an element of hypnobirthing, all hypnosis is self-hypnosis so you’re in control at all times. At the least you’ll experience incredibly deep relaxation and at best you’ll experience a calm, gentle and possibly fear and pain free birth. As a past student said…who wouldn’t want that?
How much is it?
We offer different options that are dependent on your needs – have a look here but if you can’t find what you’re looking for just send me a message and we can discuss the best option for you.
How long is the course and how is it delivered?
There are two options for the combined courses:
12 hour Full Antenatal Course with 6 hour Hypnobirthing Basics or a 12 hour Full Hypnobirthing Course with 6 hour Antenatal Basics.
Courses are currently held online and you can book in here.
The full course is held over 4 sessions, the basics courses are 6 hours over 2 or 3 sessions and at present all sessions are delivered online via Zoom. You have access to us whenever you need and support in the Facebook group and on WhatsApp too.
Do I need to do any other antenatal courses?
Not at all!
I’ve never done anything like this before – I’m a bit nervous.
We often find parents are nervous about starting a course and at the first session will say it’s already made a huge difference to how they see birth. If you’d like to arrange a taster or have any questions at all just send me a message.
How much time does the hypnobirthing practice take up?
I recommend you practice daily – you’ll have homework and the MP3s to listen to but it’s up to you to do it. How much or how little time is up to you, but I do find that it’s those who immerse themselves in it and put in the time that get the great results. Saying that, I’ve taught mums at 40 weeks to hypnobirth and they’ve had amazing births too so nothing is set in stone.
How do I know it’s a good course?
Have a read of our bios above – we’re two highly experienced instructors trained by the best so you know you’re in safe hands.
How often are courses held?
Courses take place regularly and often book up quickly. Individual courses are available at any time and date to suit you depending on availability.
When should we attend?
Any time you like but we recommend that couples attend the course any time from the 25th week of pregnancy. The earlier you start hypnobirthing, the more time you have to practice the techniques however I’ve worked with a number of ladies in later pregnancy (one at 40 weeks!) and all have found the course beneficial.
If you’re more than 36 weeks or would prefer it, we offer one-to-one courses at times to suit you and your birth partner.
How do I book on?
You can book on by selected you preferred course here or send me a message with your due date and I’ll let you know what we have available. Spaces are limited to ensure a good quality of service so it’s recommended to book quickly.
